Where We Live:

For us the saying holds true that "home is where the heart is".  We love the cozy house that we live in, and enjoy coming home after a day of running errands or work or even travel.   Barbie spends a particularly lot of time at home because she works there!  And baby will be there a lot, too... your little darling will never be put into daycare, because Barbie will be staying home to care full-time for baby and family, just as she is currently doing.  We hope that is as important to you as it is to us!

Our neighborhood is wonderfully green and child-friendly.  Across the street the Ortegas have 3 boys, and around the corner the Snyders have 3 girls and 1 boy.  We spend a lot of time with both families already, can you imagine how much more time we'd spend if the babies had yet another playmate? J By our count, probably 3/4 of the homes in our neighborhood have children.  The neighborhood is especially welcoming to adopted infants; four couples have adopted children (one is a baby girl from Pennsylvania, two boys from the Marshall Islands, one boy from Russia, and one girl from India); these children are so beloved by everyone!

Our neighborhood is also very close - we have parties a few times a year, and of course children are especially welcome.  Every May, we rent a huge house in the Outer Banks (North Carolina) for a beach trip with 5-6 other neighborhood families.  On Wednesdays we have a standing table at a local restaurant where we meet - usually 15-20 people show up, just from our neighborhood. Some of us attend the same church, Christ Lutheran (Christian) church - a welcoming red brick church on Main St. in our town.  Here is a picture to give you an idea where our town is: 

Just a quick plane ride away from anywhere in the country!  We are near Dutch Country - in between the triangle created by Harrisburg, York, and Lancaster.  So we have the best of both worlds:  "country" living with lots of parks and open spaces, and yet only minutes by car from three larger cities. 

We hope that you get great vibes of where we live - it really *is* as great an area as it sounds.  We hope that you will become an honorary member of our neighborhood too!
